Creating opportunity for employees to learn and expand their minds is of the utmost importance at Q4. We’re biologically wired to learn. We can’t stop ourselves. Learning is necessary for survival. It’s a natural instinct. We constantly absorb information, determine what’s important, and decide how to act.

Our goal at Q4 is to build a culture of "transformative learning," to help our employees expand their consciousness, worldview and sense of self; changing how we see and do things. Learnings from research conducted by LinkedIn Learning suggest that the three dimensions of transformative learning are:

Psychological

Change In Understanding
Knowledge, information, models, and theories shift the learner’s understanding and provide the "why".

Behavioural

Change In Actions
The learner uses observation, application, and experimentation to do something differently.

Convictional

Revision of belief system
The learner permanently shifts a perspective or view, often through “Aha!” moment or insight.

At Q4, we take a blended approach to learning and balance our learning programs with in-person instructor-led sessions, on-demand learning and the opportunity for external professional development. Our learning objectives support the following areas:

LinkedIn Learning Access

All employees are assigned a LinkedIn Learning license on day 1. This license provides you with access to over 13,000 courses spanning all subjects and areas of interest. Our goal as a company and for each individual employee is that you will participate in a minimum of 10 hours of learning per year. We start you off with a thoughtfully curated Learning Path called 'Q4orce Fundamentals' to help you integrate into Q4's culture of learning.

Performance & Career Development

Our Performance & Career Development (PCD) program provides an opportunity for employees to set objectives that pertain to their career goals and professional development. The PCD cycle is set to align with the compensation review timeline with a review taking place between mid-February-early March. Conversations center around an employee’s individual development plan and alignment of performance objectives with our overall business objectives. The program ensures that employees are engaging in performance and career-related conversations with their manager on a regular basis.

We encourage employees to make full use of the program, the people and processes that are available and to actively solicit feedback and treat the feedback as a tool to help them grow.

Social Activities

It seems as though Q4 always has a reason to get together to socialize, from Pride month party’s to trivia night there is always something to look forward to! Our social committee does a great job of bringing the whole office together. Q4 also enjoys supporting the community. We recently did a park clean up in our neighborhood and participated in the Motionball Marathon of Sport in partnership with the Special Olympics. We are looking forward to you joining us!
